Here and Now

July 29, 2023

Because of hot weather recently, I went to the garden. Since the four rain barrels were nearly empty, I decided to irrigate crucial plants with city water. A half hour into my focussed attention, I sensed a change around me. I looked up to see huge darkness in the north west skies. How could I possibly have been unaware of it all!

No rain had been forecast. I put the tools in the garage, then stood at the doorway to see what the heated skies were up to. Not at all forecast a storm was coming our way.

Indeed we got lightning and thunder and rain — an inch and a half in the next hour.

Did I ever tell you — since early childhood I have been fond of storms.
